The doctors and nurses were so great. I took my dog to two other veterinary hospitals that could not find out what was wrong. As soon as I brought her here [Ashland Vet Hospital] they found out right away it was a blockage and handled it so well. She was not scared one bit the whole time. Highly recommended for any pet.

This vet and office is amazing. The vet is a strait shooter and excellent veterinarian. He gets to the point and gets to the bottom of what’s going on with your pet. The staff are great. They are priced so reasonably, half of what other vets charge. Very happy to have found this office.

I came directly with my cat who’d spent the weekend at the ER - catheter and IV line still attached. I was at their door when they opened. They took him in right away and cared for him for 2 days and nights. Always receptive to my check in’s. And my cat is huge and grumpy. I was very happy with how well they cared for him. Explained what was going on and how to care for him. They gave me an Rx for the food he’ll need to eat for the rest of his life. My boy is still not out of the woods but I am secure that he has great vets to care for him.

I am incredibly grateful for everyone at AVH and for their care of my dog. I was visiting and the staff was able to get me in same day, giving me updates on when I could come in. The admin staff and tech was professional, warm and welcoming, and helped me and my dog feel calm. Dr. Tesluk was very professional and thorough, and was direct and to the point, which I appreciated. There wasn’t any upsell, unnecessary procedure, or pressure. If I lived here this would be my go-to vet. By FAR the best veterinarian in Jackson County. I'm serious. I am close to Dr. Tesluk and can confirm he has dedicated his whole life to treating/helping animals. His passion for taking care of animals is beyond what most people can perceive. The pets he takes care of emotionally impact him on a daily basis, and it's easy to tell that he treats and cares for these animals as if they were kids he was taking care of. From household dogs and cats, to even tigers and equine animals.

I have an elderly cat, whom we have had for 20 years. When she found us, our former vet estimated she was already at least a year old. Dr. Tesluk has been her vet for 16+ of those years. In that time, I have never felt I was led down a path of unnecessary treatments. On one occasion, Dr. Tesluk urged me to get a dental cleaning for her because she had bad gingivitis. I hesitated because it is an expensive procedure (no matter where you go). To my poor cat's detriment, I hesitated, and she ended up getting a gum infection. I ended up getting the cleaning and some antibiotics for her, and she was like a different cat. She was full of energy again, affectionate, eating well, even as a geriatric kitty. This was a few years ago. I know she is at the end stages of her life now. My Kitty (our family member) is going through multiple health issues. Rather than forcing traumatizing treatments that “may” prolong her life, or could end up being worse for her, Dr. Tesluk spoke honestly and compassionately for me to really think about her quality of life and whether or not I want to put her through that trauma (yes animals get traumatized) at her age. He has always given me choices with possible outcomes and has always left it up to me to decide. As always, AVH will give you an estimate for a procedure before they preform it. Just ask. The real clincher for me that lets me know my loved fur baby is in wonderful, competent, compassionate hands was the day I was driving a little behind a truck on a side street. It suddenly pulled over and the person got out of the car. When I reached the truck, I realized it was Dr. Tesluk trying to attend to a poor cat that was lying on the side of the road. He didn’t do it for anyone but the poor kitty.

Excellent! Caring and kind. Extremely reasonable prices and quality care I haven’t found in a long time. Small clinic unlike most of the commercial style where they only know charts. Dr. Tesluk took extra time to review, learn and get to know my dog and recommended and suggested rather than push and sell. Certainly one of a kind and highly recommend.

We took our two aging Labrador retrievers for an initial visit with the doctor at Ashland Veterinary Hospital. The doctor was very thorough and gave each a complete physical. We got a solid report on each dog and an approach for working on their health. It was a very comfortable visit, and I don't hesitate to recommend the doctor as an appropriate place to take your pet for healthcare.

Dr Tesluk and his entire staff go above and beyond anything we have experienced at other veterinary clinics though we have never had a bad experience elsewhere, this clinic is on a different level. I have been taking my pup to the Ashland Veterinary Hospital for the past three years, and I can say that they have always been available when I needed them. Recently, I had to travel and required a Health Certificate for my pup. Unfortunately, the vet I had been visiting couldn't accommodate my request in time. Frustrated, I decided to give Ashland Veterinarian Hospital a call. To my surprise, they were able to get me in that very same day.
